Today as never before, Medicare allows eligible consumers many options regarding both how they will receive their Medicare benefits and who will be delivering care. Because of the complexity of Medicare benefits and the myriad of options, we believe that consumers should obtain the most accurate information from a trusted and independent source. In order to facilitate good individual choices, Direction Home Akron Canton conducts Medicare educational seminars throughout the region during Medicare Open Enrollment (October 15-December7) and during the rest of the year. At these Medicare seminars, attendees will obtain information on updates and changes to the Medicare program as well as analysis of the locally available Medicare Advantage plans. This information is free and open to the public. Direction Home Akron Canton makes it our goal to offer unbiased information so Medicare beneficiaries can make educated decisions on their Medicare benefits. For your convenience, we offer programs in various locations throughout Portage, Stark, Summit and Wayne Counties throughout the year. This past year, we presented eight Medicare educational seminars during the open enrollment period. Each seminar includes either breakfast or lunch.
